About Me

I am Nicolás Arturo Pérez, an Argentine photographer born in Buenos Aires on November 19, 1972. I studied at the EDAF (School of Photography Art of Avellaneda), where I received professional training in photography. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to nature, and this curiosity became the core of my artistic work.

I have spent over twenty years dedicated to editorial photography, portraits, and especially capturing the beauty and complexity of wildlife. Throughout my career, my photos have been published in numerous books and magazines, recognized with international awards, and exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States, Europe, and Argentina.

I currently live in Buenos Aires with my wife and our two daughters.

My Work

I began my professional career in 1998, collaborating with magazines such as INSIDERS, PC User, and Mercado. Since 2003, I have worked with El Cronista Comercial, particularly for their publications APERTURA and CLASE. Between 2005 and 2013, I collaborated with Televisa Argentina / Atlántida publishing house on magazines like Cosmopolitan, Runner’s World, Maxim, Muy Interesante, and National Geographic Argentina. Since 2008, I have also worked with Editorial Acción for their magazines Convivimos and Presente RSE.

During this time, I have photographed over 700 magazine covers. My approach combines nature observation with studio lighting techniques. I focus on capturing intimate scenes, fleeting moments, and compositions where light plays a pivotal role.

Among my most notable series are Señores de la noche (Lords of the Night), focused on nocturnal animals, and Naturaleza Fugaz (Fleeting Nature), which was exhibited at the Arcangel Maggio gallery in Recoleta, Buenos Aires.

I aim for my photos to convey the depth of nature, its biodiversity, and its aesthetic power. What drives me is achieving a connection between the viewer and the world that often goes unnoticed. With each image, I seek to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our environment, hoping to inspire others to change attitudes and safeguard natural habitats.
